There's a lot more to these birds than meets the eye. Every year, we put on America's biggest, best pigeon show, bringing together pigeon fanciers from across the country here in Lancaster to show, buy, sell, and learn about pigeons.
The Lancaster Pigeon Show is the nation's premier pigeon show, showcasing the incredible variety and beauty of the domestic pigeon. Don't know what a pigeon show is? It's just like a dog or cat breed show: people come together to show off and celebrate their carefully bred animal companions, winning awards, socializing, and exchanging knowledge. The show is held by the Reading Pigeon Association, the country's oldest pigeon club, established in 1889.
